Description
Bay Shore Ballet Academy in Fairhope, AL, announces its Summer Dance Intensive Dance Workshop and Performance set for July 9-August 3. Sessions will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.
This special workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced level dancers with a minimum of four years of training only. The studio offers a flexible tuition rate which will allow up to one week of vacation time during the four weeks session. Tuition is $275 - $375 based on registration for 3-week or full 4-week workshop.
This special workshop is open to intermediate to advanced dancers from all studios in the area. Dancers will learn and perform choreography from famous classics such as La Bayadere, Giselle, Swan Lake, Paquita, and other great classics. Classes include dance history, pantomime, pointe, variations, and vocabulary. Additionally, dancers will study international professional ballet companies and legendary performers.
Faculty will include director Janet Carole, Bay Shore Ballet director and former principal dancer of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Oakland Ballet and soloist for the Pennsylvania Ballet.
Instructor and principal dancer Kristiana Bell, will teach ballet technique, pointe and variations. Shel has performed in over thirty of director, Janet Carole’s productions. Bell completed a Dance minor at Loyola University of New Orleans, LA in 2017. She has received awards from the Philharmonic Society of New Orleans and was recognized as Dancer of the Year by Loyola University for two performance seasons.
Stephanie Barfield, Bay Shore Ballet instructor also joins, for the fourth year as Summer Intensive Dance Workshop faculty teaching modern, jazz, choreography and stretch classes. Her training includes three years with the Texas Christian University (TCU) dance team, modern dance courses at TCU, and professional dance productions both on stage and film.
The intensive concludes with an in-studio performance and reception for family and invited guests.
