We will explore how masters of color and composition captured the essence of the season from the shimmering heat of a Provencal field to the cool, suburban stillness of a California pool.

Together, we’ll analyze the technical brilliance and social contexts behind a curated selection of "sun-drenched" masterpieces. We will trace the evolution of summer aesthetics across different movements, examining how light defines not just the landscape, but the very mood of the era.

Exemplars would include Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Iisland of La Grande Jatte, Monet's Woman with a Parasol and Water Lillies, Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party,  van Gogh's Sunflowers, Hockney's A Bigger Splash, Hopper's Second Story Sunlight, etc.

Hooked on Fairhope is a community-driven children’s fishing tournament held annually on the Fairhope Pier. Our mission is to introduce children to the joy of fishing while strengthening family bonds, encouraging mentorship, and fostering respect for our

coastal environment.

Through a fun, inclusive, and well-organized event, we aim to build confidence, character, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors, connecting the next generation to the water, to one another, and to the traditions that make our region special.

This elegant and meaningful evening will gather community leaders, healthcare professionals, supporters and survivors from across the Gulf Coast to raise vital funds for our mission. The Masquerade Ball is not only an evening of celebration and remembrance, it’s a commitment to giving hope to local families navigating the burdens of cancer.

Last year’s event raised over $75,000, directly benefiting cancer patients in need through grants that cover medical copays, transportation to treatment, groceries and essential household bills. We expect this year to be even more impactful with your help.

As we approach the June 16 Republican runoff election, ESRW members and guests will hear from runoff candidates 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻 for U.S. Senate, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗰𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 for Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries, 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗻 for Attorney General, and 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀 for Baldwin County Commission District 4. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.

We recently held our first evening meeting in Spanish Fort, and it was a great success. We are excited to continue these meetings to allow members and prospective members in the northern part of the Eastern Shore to attend a meeting close to home and to allow individuals whose schedule conflicts with our lunch meeting to attend meetings.

Our speaker for the July evening meeting has spent almost his entire life in Baldwin County-creating personal ties that inspired a career of service to the community he grew up loving. Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack is currently serving in his 5th term as Baldwin County Sheriff. Over his last 18 years in office, he has proven his integrity, dedication and devotion to the community that elected him. Continually serving his community, Sheriff Mack has held office in the Robertsdale Rotary Club as well as the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, and he has sat on the boards of the Baldwin County Economic Alliance and Boy Scouts of America. He has also been recognized for his service with a number of awards.

Saddle Up for a Cause: The 28th Annual Professional Rodeo Returns This August

The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of the 28th Annual Professional Rodeo! Mark your calendars for an unforgettable, action-packed weekend happening August 6-8, 2026, at the City of Robertsdale's Arena. Because the arena is completely covered, this exciting community event is guaranteed to be a fantastic time, rain or shine.

Get ready for a jaw-dropping experience featuring incredible livestock and event management from Bo Campbell Rodeo Productions, alongside top-tier contestants affiliated with the Professional Cowboy Association.
