98 Cows is now open on Section Street in Downtown Fairhope.
98 Cows specializes in any size sheepskin and cowhide rugs, pillows and throws as well as custom-made cowhide patchwork rugs and custom-made sisal rugs with a cowhide edge.
Owner Benicia Woodward said she fell in love with the product when she was 21 and has been in the industry now for 40 years, “I keep adding gorgeous custom designs. I love working with my customers to make their homes more comfortable, beautiful, practical and cozy!”
Woodward’s first boutique, Woolly Ewe in Dallas, Texas was opened when she was 21 with a $1200 loan from her dad. “Luckily, I opened my store right next to where the Dallas Cowboys wives would have their luncheons and it started me on a great path doing beautiful homes!” said Woodward.
These rugs will not stain. “Our high-quality cowhide resist stains like no other rug. Red wine, orange juice and even the occasional dropped peanut-and-butter sandwich are no match for our cowhide rugs. A 98COWS cowhide rug cleans easily with mild soap and water,” said Woodward.
