Alabama State Bar and Alabama Attorney General’s Office Announce Winners of Alabama Legal Food Frenzy

ALABAMA, June 14, 2021 – Alabama State Bar President Christina Crow and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall have announced the winners of the 2020 Alabama Food Frenzy. The fifth year of the Legal Food Frenzy raised the equivalent of 160,000 meals for Alabama families facing hunger.

The Alabama Legal Food Frenzy is an annual statewide competition among law firms to benefit Alabama’s four regional food banks. The Alabama State Bar joined with the Attorney General and the Alabama Food Bank Association to coordinate this annual fundraiser.

“The Alabama Legal Food Frenzy is a tangible example of the power lawyers have when they work together toward a common service goal: providing support for our fellow Alabamians in need of food assistance. The challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic only served to underscore why this fundraiser matters now more than ever. I am proud of the good work our members do in support of these efforts,” said President Methvin.

The law firm or legal organization that donated the most per employee this year is Martin & Helms, PC, which will receive The Attorney General’s Cup, with other honors to other firms awarded in categories based on the firm’s size. The winners of the Alabama Legal Food Frenzy are:

About Alabama Food Bank Association

The Alabama Food Bank Association works to end hunger by assisting the food bank network in obtaining more food and funds, fostering public awareness of the food banks’ mission, and creating partnerships to help alleviate hunger in Alabama. Every day, the eight food banks in Alabama partner with a statewide network of food donors, emergency food pantries, and soup kitchens to provide food to hungry people. Fighting hunger requires significant funding for every step of the process—from acquiring food, to storing the food, to transporting the food to people in need. Learn more at alfba.org.
