The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce celebrated our new member, Double D's Burger, with a ribbon cutting! This new restaurant is located at 29001 Bass Pro Drive in Spanish Fort, AL inside The Fort Container Park.
"We are a family owned and family run local business. My menu is all about my family, and the cuisine we know and love. I have been in restaurants my whole life but always dreamed of having my very own restaurant. I wanted to see people with my name on their cups and shirts walking around everywhere I go. I wanted to give my kids a reason to be proud and show them that if they keep pushing, their DREAMS WILL COME TRUE ALSO. My speciality is my homemade burgers - they’re always made fresh, never frozen. I love building a business that my family can be proud of, as well as inspiring other women to follow their entrepreneurial dreams. I’m rooting for everyone!"
What inspired me to open my open business?
"I watched my mother and grandmother run a restaurant for over 40 years - that gave me my love for customer service and my passion for food. They both worked so hard and both retired out of food service. My husband and kids are my main inspiration. I’m so thankful for their unwavering supporting in helping make my dream come true."
"This dream started as a hobby for me. When I was not working a full time job I made menus and would design every event I wanted to host and what it would look like. This hobby turned out to be a start to a successful business. Do what you’re passionate about; you never know what will come from it."
