The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new location of Mobile Ballet Eastern Shore with a ribbon cutting. Their studios are now located at 26150 Equity Drive, in Daphne, AL. Mobile Ballet, a non-profit organization founded in 1987, is the premier classical ballet school and performing company in south Alabama. The Mobile Ballet School provides excellent dance instruction to students age 3 to adult, from beginner to pre-professional, at our main studio in Mobile and our Eastern Shore studio in Daphne.
Mobile Ballet's Eastern Shore location has been in operation since 2005, and has just moved to a new larger location in the heart of Daphne at 26150 Equity Drive. This exciting development represents a significant milestone in Mobile Ballet's growth and commitment to providing exceptional dance education and performances for Gulf Coast communities on both sides of the Bay.
Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, conditioning, and more. We provide exceptional dance training with highly qualified instructors focused on the individual development of each student, in a professional, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere.
We believe that the performing arts are essential to the vibrant quality of life of our community, and Mobile Ballet is proud to present at least three full public productions each year, performed by the Mobile Ballet Company and students along with extraordinary guest artists from around the country. Through our Discover Dance educational program, special performances of these productions are also presented for area K-12 students. Mobile Ballet also serves the community through various educational outreach programs throughout the year in partnership with local organizations and schools.
Mobile Ballet has been an integral part of the arts community for over 35 years, providing exceptional dance instruction and performances for thousands of people in the Gulf Coast region each year. Our Eastern Shore location has operated in Daphne since 2005 in efforts to better serve communities on both sides of the Bay. Steady growth has brought the need for a new larger Eastern Shore facility to the forefront in recent years, and thanks to consistent community support we were able to obtain and renovate a larger building and move forward with expansion this year. Our new building includes three spacious sprung-floor studios, and is thoughtfully designed to allow us to offer a similar breadth and number of classes as our Mobile location, as well as accommodate rehearsals and community programs.
