NAMI Baldwin to Host Community Educational Meetings NAMI Baldwin Co., AL, a local affiliate of the National Association on Mental Illness will be hosting a series of education meetings this fall:
Tuesday, October 5: Crisis Intervention Teams in Foley & other municipalities
Speakers: Sgt. Chuck Sutherlin, CIT Officer, Foley Police Department Maj. Jimmy Milton, CIT, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department David Wilson, CIT County-wide Report, Ex. Dir. Foley Public Safety Department
Tuesday, November 2: NEW Baldwin County Mental Health Court & Civil Commitment Procedure
Speakers: Probate Judge Harry D’Olive, Jr. Judge Scott P. Taylor (invited) Rep. Matt Simpson (depends on schedule)
Tuesday, December 7: NEW Mental Health Coordinator for Schools
Speakers: Ms. Patrice Davis, Intervention Supervisor & Baldwin County Board of Education Mental Health Coordinator Ms. Ann Chipman, LMFT Asst Director, Child & Adolescents Outpatient Services, AltaPointe Health Systems
All meetings will begin at 6:30 pm and will be offered as hybrid meetings.
Those who are comfortable and can attend in person will meet in the Questors Classroom of the Foley United Methodist Church. Masks are recommended but not required.
