Bayside’s John Thomas Neill Named Mobile Optimist Club’s Runner of the Week
Daphne, Ala., October 11, 2022 – Bayside Academy senior John Thomas Neill was selected by the Mobile Optimist Club as 1A–5A Runner of the Week for his performance at the Jesse Owens Classic. JT, along with Coach Joe Swagart, was recognized at the Mobile Optimist Club’s luncheon on Thursday, October 6 2022.
JT finished as Bayside’s top runner at Jesse Owens with a time of 16:50, tying him for fifth overall in school history for a 5K time. He is Bayside’s third young man to post a sub-17:00 5K time this season.
Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades PK3–12.
