Impact 100 Baldwin County President Lucy Smith paused at the beginning of the event to reflect on Impact 100’s history as it marks 15 years of serving Baldwin County. “We are able to continue our mission of offering transformative grants because of our founders, 82 women who believed, who knew that when women work together, there is no stopping us,” said Smith. “Tonight is about celebrating the past, but also about looking to the future and the ripple effect our grants will make.” The non-profit organizations were selected from a competitive field of applicants and vetted by a rigorous review process including site visits, financial analysis and in-depth discussions within the respective focus group. The finalists made a short presentation about their projects at An Evening of Impact. Members voted tonight for who they found most compelling, and the results were announced at the end of the event. Tonight’s awards bring the total invested in our community to over $5 million. It also kicked off the membership campaign for the coming year.
