Scott Blair, co-founder and 29-year automotive veteran, started the mobile tire and wheel service 5 years ago in Daphne, AL to save time for busy individuals and over worked fleet managers. The company operates out of a Sprinter van that allows the Tire Industry Association and T.R.A.C.K. Certified Technicians to provide mounting and precision balancing for most passenger vehicles, boat trailers, RVs, exotic sports cars, golf carts and fleet trucks up to 1 1⁄2-ton. Blair stated, “We were saturated with work before COVID, but now everyone is conditioned to just tap on their phone and have a product or service arrive at their door. Our services are provided at a time and location convenient for our clients whether it is at their home, office or the ball
field. For our fleets that are running late hours with limited crews, we can service after hours and weekends so vehicles are ready to go for the very next shift.”
That level of business requires infrastructure, processes and procedures that can be taught, replicated and monitored for quality assurance. 2U Tire of Alabama has been preparing to scale and with the Alabama Launchpad opportunity, that reality is closer than ever. Blair continues, “To ensure the success of our growth, we launched T.R.A.C.K. Auto Training (www.TRACKAutoTraining.com) with a full scale technical training center located in Daphne with the latest tools and technology needed to train skilled managers and technicians both in-person and virtual through our new L.I.T.E. interactive classes.”
Blair notes he relies on local resources such as the Alabama Small Business Development Center, business coaches, business networking groups and local Chambers of Commerce to succeed.
