Southern Cancer Center Welcomes Dr. Lindsey Beakley

SOUTHERN CANCER CENTER WELCOMES DR. LINDSEY BEAKLEY

Mobile, AL- Southern Cancer Center is pleased to announce we are enhancing the comprehensive care we provide to our breast cancer patients by adding a highly trained and experienced breast surgeon to our team. Dr. Lindsey W. Beakley joins our practice on April 1, 2022. 

Dr. Beakley is a board certified surgeon who completed her fellowship in breast surgical oncology. She provides compassionate care to women and men with malignant and benign breast-related disease, as well as women with abnormal mammogram findings and women at high risk for developing breast cancer. She has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery, nipple sparing mastectomy, reverse axillary mapping and sentinel lymph node biopsy. 

“Breast cancer treatment is complex and often requires a combination of tailored therapies from an integrated team of experts for the best outcome. That’s why joining Southern Cancer Center just feels right,” said Dr. Beakley. “I have dedicated myself to providing the best surgical care for women undergoing breast cancer treatment and it fits to join a practice who has a proven record of exceptional medical care. Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, Dr. Beakley received her medical degree and completed her general surgery residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She then completed her fellowship training at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, Illinois. Since 2018, Dr. Beakley has resided in Mobile and built a successful breast surgical oncology practice at Ascension Providence Hospital.
