BAYSHORE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL BREAKS GROUND ON NEW LOGIC AND RHETORIC BUILDING
Bayshore Christian School will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its Logic and Rhetoric School Campus May 1, at 10 a.m. on its new property on County Road 13.
The Christian, classical school's new upper school campus is scheduled to open in Fall 2024.
"We are so excited to see years of prayer, planning, and providence come to fruition," Rev. Sam McDonald, interim head of school, said. "It is a celebratory moment for sure."
The new 46-acre campus will feature an academic building of roughly 28,000 square feet of classrooms, library, gathering space, science labs, and an art studio. In time, a gymnasium, athletic fields as well as a worship and performing arts center will be constructed.
BCS Board Chairman Rob Adamson said, "Our desire to offer a Classical and Christian education to more students has been a goal of our school for some time. The last few years have ushered in several challenges with Covid-19 and associated construction cost and supply chain issues. However, the Lord has been faithful to our Bayshore family and has now made the construction of this Upper School academic building a reality. To God be the Glory!"
Since its purchase in November 2018, a team of board members and administrators at Bayshore Christian School has been working with McKee and Associates on the master site plan and the design of the academic building and with Fulcrum Construction on the site preparation and construction plans.
BCS Grammar School (PreK – 6th grade) will continue at its present location, 316 Presbyterian Drive in Fairhope, on the campus of Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church.
