Bayside Academy Students Participate in Model UN
Daphne, Ala., April 4, 2023 – A special congratulations goes out to five Bayside Academy students who participated in St. Michael High School’s Third Annual Spring Model UN Simulation held on Saturday, March 18. Adriane Clemens ‘25, Amelia Hicks ’27, and Lanee Imperato ‘25 served on the Main Committee: Social Humanitarian (SOCHUM) Committee with the topic of Eliminating All Forms of Discrimination against Individuals Experiencing Homelessness and Decriminalizing Homelessness. Nate Bullock ‘27 and Sophia Haines ‘25 served on the Crisis Committee: Disarmament (DISEC) Committee with the topic of Preventing the Weaponization of Outer Space. All of our delegates represented the Bayside Academy’s student talent very well.
In addition, Amelia Hicks was recognized during the closing ceremony and received an Honorable Mention award for her position paper.
In the past three years, impressively, Bayside Academy delegates have won four awards at the Spring Cardinal Model UN Conferences.
Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Grades PK3–12.
