Infirmary Health Expands 3D Mammography Offering in Mobile and Baldwin Counties
Mobile, Ala. – Infirmary Health is adding five new 3D mammography units to its imaging and breast centers in Mobile and Baldwin counties, including three new locations. 3D mammography is essential for women with dense breasts or those who are at high-risk for breast cancer and can detect breast cancer up to 15 months sooner than 2D mammography alone.
Infirmary Health began offering 3D mammography to its patients in 2016 at the Mobile Infirmary Breast Center in Mobile, Thomas Hospital Breast Center in Fairhope and Thomas Medical Center in Daphne. Now, 3D mammography will be available at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Infirmary Imaging in Saraland and Infirmary Imaging at Hillcrest. Additionally, the Mobile Infirmary Breast Center and Thomas Hospital Breast Center will have additional units to make scheduling 3D mammograms even more convenient for patients.
