BALDWIN COUNTY, AL, June 27, 2022 – In March 2022, Ms. Jody Wise announced her retirement as the Baldwin County Circuit Clerk effective July 1, 2022. Applications were accepted through March 31, 2022 and interviews were conducted by the Baldwin County Circuit Judges in April and May 2022 to fill the appointed position.
Ms. Brenda Ganey has been appointed as the new Baldwin County Circuit Clerk and is scheduled to take office on July 1, 2022. A swearing in ceremony will take place on July 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. in courtroom number one at the Baldwin County Courthouse located at 312 Courthouse Square, Suite 10, Bay Minette, Alabama 36507.
Ms. Ganey has been employed with the court system for 29 and a half years. She began her career as a Court Specialist I and worked her way up to Chief Deputy Clerk working under Ms. Jody Wise.
“Upon retirement, I have worked part time with the Circuit Judges as Baldwin’s Court Administrator and played a major part in upgrading the jury system to allow jurors to register online during the pandemic,” said Brenda Ganey. “I look forward to the opportunity to serve as Baldwin’s next Circuit Clerk for many years to come!”
The Baldwin County Commission would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Circuit Clerk Jody Wise for her dedicated service to the courts and citizens of Baldwin County since her appointment as Circuit Clerk in 2004. We would like to wish her the best in her retirement and future endeavors.
