Regional Contemporary Quilt Exhibit Opening at First Friday Art Walk!
- NEW EXHIBIT: Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA). Regional works submitted for jurying by SAQA-member artists in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. "The exhibition premise is that creating a work of art begins with a question. The artist might ask: What idea is important for me to communicate? What concept do I want to explore? What emotions do I want to experience and evoke in the viewer?" On display: September 2 – October 29, 2022.

NEW EXHIBIT: Eastern Shore Camera Club. 11th Annual Photography Exhibit. The Club provides members, from beginners to professionals, with educational and skill building opportunities in the art of photography. On display: September 2 – October 29, 2022
- RETURNING EXHIBIT: “ArtSquared” Online Auction. Twenty-four 12”x12” works by regional artists on display and up for bidding. All proceeds go towards ESAC programming. Auction closing September 2, 2022 at 7pm.
- RETURNING EXHIBIT: “A Naturalist’s Sojourn in Alabama” Take a journey back in time to 1830s Alabama with English naturalist Philip Henry Gosse, and imagine a world before field guides or widespread knowledge of our state’s beautiful flora and fauna. In his intricate, hand-painted illustrations of moths, butterflies, and various other insects, Gosse captured the essence of many of our most beloved native plants and insects. Print Exhibit made possible by Alabama Audubon. Exhibit will be on display through October 29, 2022.
