WALA FOX10 Expands Local and Investigative Lineup
Mobile/Pensacola (WALA) - Gray Television’s Market leading news station along the Alabama / Florida Gulf Coast is launching two new weekday afternoon news programs Monday, September 11.
FOX10 News, which already produces more news than any other station in the market, will be adding “FOX10 Live” at 3pm followed by Gray Television’s “InvestigateTV+” at 3:30 to its Monday through Friday lineup.
“The most important thing a television station can do is serve its communities,” says WALA Vice President/General Manager Eric Duncan. “These new programs will provide viewers unique, new content. It’s local journalism and real world investigations that matter to our viewers.”
The 3pm entry, “FOX10 Live” will be anchored by longtime weekend anchor Lee Peck and 4pm anchor Shelby Myers. The upbeat live show will take viewers to communities across the market, exploring all the area has to offer. Following FOX10 Live will be ”InvestigateTV+,” a new 30-minute show produced in New Orleans by parent company Gray Television. The show will focus on investigative stories, tackling issues from communities across the country. The show will also mix in relevant lifestyle and consumer news.
With these additional broadcast shows and new programming on the FOX10 Gulf Stream, WALA will be producing more than 75 hours of local content each week.
“Providing quality local content is a priority for FOX10 and Gray Television,” says Duncan. “We need to serve our audience at times that are convenient for them and on all platforms.” The FOX10 Gulf Stream is available on Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV devices. All live newscasts can also be found over-the-air, watched on the FOX10 News app and online at FOX10tv.com.
