South Coast Canine officially celebrated the grand opening of its professional dog training and boarding facility with a ribbon cutting on July 9, 2025. Located just off Highway 104 in the Fairhope/Silverhill area, the business offers a full suite of canine services including training, boarding and daycare — all focused on delivering personalized, results-driven care for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
Owner Lexus LeMoine brings more than a decade of experience and specialized credentials to the table. A Troy University graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology, LeMoine followed her passion for animals and earned a Master Trainer Certification from Tarheel Canine Training in 2014. Her expertise spans professional obedience, behavior modification, narcotics and explosives detection, tracking, apprehension and personal protection dogs.
After working in the police K9 training field, LeMoine returned to her hometown of Fairhope to start her own business. “The personalization each and every dog gets when they come here is unlike most,” said LeMoine. “From training to daycare, our playgroups are created with safety and quality care in mind.”
South Coast Canine also offers AKC Canine Good Citizen certifications, with LeMoine serving as a Certified AKC Evaluator. The business is currently expanding with a new trainer joining the team under LeMoine’s mentorship.
