Thompson Engineering Celebrates New Baldwin County Office with Ribbon Cutting

SPANISH FORT, Ala. – Thompson Engineering marked a significant milestone in its continued growth across the Gulf Coast with a ribbon cutting and open house celebration on March 27, hosted at their newest location at 11143 Old Hwy 31 in Spanish Fort.

Founded in 1953, Thompson Engineering has evolved from a construction materials testing and inspection firm to a full-service engineering and architectural company with more than 600 employees serving clients from Texas to North Carolina. Headquartered in Mobile, the company is known for its role in shaping skylines, coastlines, and transportation networks across the Southeast.

The new Spanish Fort location will support Thompson’s expanding survey, mapping, and drilling teams. During the event, company representatives welcomed guests from the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, local leaders, and members of the community for a behind-the-scenes look at their operations and a celebration of their latest expansion.

Thompson supports clients in the industrial, commercial, transportation, federal, and municipal
markets. While they are still one of the first companies on project sites conducting environmental
assessments, land surveys, and geotechnical studies, their design teams are close behind.

They now deliver cutting-edge solutions to complex infrastructure and building requirements. And our project management and construction management services mean we are often one of the last teams to leave.

Thompson Engineering is known for leadership on projects defining skylines, coastlines, and
transportation lines," said Taylor Gillis with Thompson Engineering. "From start to finish, we are a proven leader in the planning, design, and construction of major transportation, economic development, and waterfront projects across the Southeast."

From environmental assessments and land surveys to complex infrastructure design and project management, Thompson Engineering remains a leader in planning, designing, and delivering projects that drive economic development and enhance quality of life.
